Facebook and Friendster and SecondLife, Oh MySpace


Ahhh, now we're getting into some cool stuff. I like the whole idea of social networking online and this is *exactly* where libraries need to be to stay relevant to the upcoming generation. These youngsters are a new species that are using a completely different way of communicating than anyone over 20. It's a different language that we need to become fluent in.

But the best part is networking with your co-workers, who are --- like so cool, like -- you can't even believe they work at the library. (The fact that I have MySpace means I need to use "like" at least fifteen times per day.)
